Summoning Seeds to healing futures is an interdisciplinary fiber art exhibition by Amanda Triplett that serves as an antidote to doomerism and apocalyptic visions. Through mixed media, quilted paintings, fiber sculpture, and installation, Triplett weaves a narrative of hope and resilience that calls to a future grounded in living in symbiosis with nature. The show invites viewers to nurture their own seeds of hope or inspiration to help grow our collective narrative out of despair and into optimistic engagement.

Connective Resonance, Shift Gallery in Seattle, WA
312 S Washington St, Seattle, WA 98104
January 6- Opening Reception
5-8pm
In Connective Resonance, interdisciplinary fiber artist Amanda Triplett explores the patterns shared between biological organisms; the rhythms from our own human cellular make-up that are echoed in the accretions of coral reefs and repeated by clusters of mycelium in the forest floor. In her sculptural fiber works, Amanda synthesizes the repetition and resonance of patterns in nature’s design, making visual connections between the phenomenon of nature to our own human bodies.

Spacemakers: an Experimental Crafting Bee, at the Space Bar, Zoom, the internet
September 22, 2020 at 7pm-8pm
Join featured artist Amanda Triplett, fiber-based artist, and Carmina Eliason, co-captain of the Space Bar for an hour of themed conversation and crafting.
Amanda is asking the question, “How are we making space?” Carmina is adding, "What are we making space for?"
Set yourself up with a snack and beverage. Bring a craft, fold your laundry, mend the hole in your pants, or lay on a comfy pillow and stare dreamily into the dark romantic void of the internet as we talk about making space.
To sign up for a Zoom link: Send a message to Carmina Eliason via FB or email: [email protected]
The Space Bar is an experimental art gallery and cafe, creating community events wherever it goes, in this case, your living room!
